Our special ladies

MA looks so good in this picture. This was before she and I were hit with a very bad virus. Because MA nearly died 3 years ago from ARDS and pneumonia, a virus at any time could  be the end.
Our hope is in the Lord!

This was at Easter :o) We had everyone try on Moses' bunny hat so he would not feel quite so bad that he is the only one small enough to fit into the bunny suit! LOL!!
MA was tired and I slept after church and so we had Easter dinner a few days later.
I cherish these days. I cherish our time together.

SP being a good sport, showing Mosie she doesn't mind bunny ears! LOL!

SP turned 60 in December and the older 4 kids here decorated and made a huge party for her! (Not one of the adult children raised here has told her Happy Birthday, and only 1 asks about her.)
As we celebrated we were so joyful for her good health.
And then in March we found out by "accident" that she has a very large brain tumor.

I can't go into details. There are some who read here who will use this news as gossip.
But can I please ask you to pray for her. She would tell you not to! LOL! Schizophrenia makes her think lightening bolts hit those who pray. She's such a stinker!! The Lord knows her heart.

We are spending our days doing those things other people call her bucket list. Simple easy to do for her things because she never asks for much. A McDonald's fish filet, a Starbucks coffee! After the dust settled from the shock, the Lord poured out blessings galore on us all and we laughed through the heartache asking
"Really God? can we really be so JOYFUL at a time like this? Should we?"

It reminded me of a Steven Curtis Chapman song from 1989 when our baby Joy (our first child to pass) went home with Jesus. The song is called -

"What kind of JOY is this?"
lyrics~

Anybody in their right mind
Would've given up their preaching and headed for home
They've been warned a hundred times
But something inside them keeps giving them hope
And just when you think they'd be crying
Instead of the tears, there's joy in their eyes
What kind of joy is this
That counts it a blessing to suffer?
What kind of joy is this
That gives the prisoner his song?
What kind of joy could stare death in the face
And see it as sweet victory?
This is the joy of a soul that's forgiven and free
Anybody else with his pain
Would wanna shake their fist at Heaven and give up the fight
'Cause trouble had been Paul's middle name
Ever since he'd been captured by God's blinding light
But just when his hope should be dying
You listen and hear him singing a song
What kind of joy is this
That counts it a blessing to suffer?
What kind of joy is this
That gives the prisoner a song?
What kind of joy could stare death in the face
And see it as sweet victory?
This is the joy of a soul that's forgiven and free
What kind of joy is this?
What kind of joy is this?
What kind of joy is this
The father has promised his children?
What kind of joy is this
That Jesus has come to reveal?
What kind of joy could give hope in this world
To someone just like you and me?
This is the joy of a soul that's forgiven
I've found this joy for my soul is forgiven and free
What kind of joy is this?
Tell me what kind of joy
What kind of joy, what kind of joy?
