Too big for his britches!

This is a very small wagon (10" x 13"). But Moses fits in it perfectly. (he's wearing 5T jammies) He has a new fascination now-riding and driving! He can pull the wagon with his legs! Something his brothers haven't figured out yet!
His other favorites are his little cars that pump and go or wind and go.

He really doesn't need any help here. He sets it up to drive it himself! Yes it is a "frozen" wagon. It is Mercy's but she doesn't have any interest in it. We couldn't donate it because Moses says then it's his!

Nope, he's not gonna "drive" for pictures! LOL!!
In the background Jacob is making "buh-buh" noises with his hand. We discourage this, but he used it for comfort for 7 years. Hard habit to break.

Jacob says to Isaiah "I said no pictures bro!" LOVE-LOVE-LOVE my spirited boys!

Pauly singing! LOL! It sounds like a low monotone "uhhh". But its beautiful! He also plays a "mean" xylophone! He whacks the keys with such force! If he misses hitting a key you hear "whack-whack" on the plastic! And then he hits the keys again. He plays for up to 15 minutes. We clap, he saunters off to sit in his thinking chair!

Noah just hangin out. Never a dull moment for Noah!

Julius' regular photo pose! He stops everything he's doing when the camera comes out! He's so big that at his last Drs visit the chart showed he was fat?? I- don't- think- so!

Precious Pauly, autism steals his spontaneity. Pauly and Moses are still the same size. But Moses is 2 1/2 years older.........and he knows it!! Julius has "out grown" his closeness with Pauly. Julius has moved on to other things. This made us and Pauly sad.

Pauly LOVES having a buddy. And Moses decided that he would be Pauly's new buddy. It was so sweet. They held hands, Moses helped Pauly.

Moses became bored with Pauly's predictable routine of repetition. And his lack of emotional response to Moses. And if Pauly got the sillies and laughed because of something he was thinking.......Moses wasn't impressed.
Moses got bored.

So Moses decided to tell Pauly what to do! OY!

He pulls Pauly out of his thinking chair- he pushes Pauly to walk. Pauly sits on the floor, disturbed that Moses would ask this of him! Moses pushes Pauly to stand. Pauly gets up and goes back to his favorite thinking chair. Moses runs after him, pushes him out again. Pauly walks/stumbles till he sees another chair and sits! Moses tries to pull the chair away, with Pauly refusing to budge.
So Moses hits him!

Now agitated Moses wants everyone to know that he's not happy! So he runs to his other brothers and hits them too! They are oblivious to the fight? that is going on and ignore him. Moses doesn't care, he got to hit them!!

He even goes over to take Jacob's toy away just because he can! (there was a year and a half when he couldn't win that fight with Jacob)

And then mom tells him "No hitting Moses! Give Jacob his toy. Tell your brothers you are sorry." He does with my help. But he lets me know he is not one bit happy about it.

All those years.
7 1/2 years of being told what to do and "taking it" from adults who don't LOVE you; have come boiling and spilling out.
Now he's 10, even if he's not the size of someone 10. He taught himself to walk and run, hit and climb. Now he is in charge. He has gotten too big for his britches!

After lots of hugs and finding his favorite fire engine. He's sorry. We LOVE him, his brothers and Mercy to pieces!
And now we need to find something Mosie size for him to drive!

Our MA Love!

I told Isaiah to take a picture of MA while she was "busy". But he's busted here. :o) She caught him! She wonders what he's doing!

She's wearing her Shiloh Shepherd tshirt that has a white Shiloh like our boy Snow on it. She says its our dog. But it's a different shepherd- almost as pretty as ours! ;o)

She loves to load her cart up with things from her bedroom and wheel them into the living room. To the left in the background you can see SP's bed. (her quilt) SP's bedroom is off the living room.

The "cart" is supposed to be between MA and SP. I had made space for it. But Tom forgot. SP and MA argue terribly and they will hit each other. There was a table between them but I moved it to make room for the cart.

MA has a walker with a basket. She loaded it so heavily with all her favorite things. Because of that weight it was not going to last. It needs to be used mainly as a walker for her.
So I found this cart that has a handle on the end and nice industrial wheels. The bottom shelf is even a short basket. She loves it. She holds the handle on the end as she walks. She's thrilled it holds more great stuff!

Both of her ankles have "crushed" from the weight of her body. They were just so tiny, not so much because of her weight. She used to complain about her knees a lot but never her ankles. She has a very high tolerance for pain. She really should not walk, but her family insists and then she gets all worked up and tells us she has to walk. :o( She only walks from room to room in the house here. Never outside or at the store. We watch for signs that she doesn't over stress her feet.

She is very fragile. She gets sick so easily. She is more like an 88 year old woman. We thank God for each day. She brings us so much JOY! We are very blessed!

Something to brighten your day! :o)

We always sing "Here she is Miss America!!" to MA. We both grew up when Bert Parks hosted the Miss America show and sang the song. MA was just like all of the other girls our age, (the girls who weren't as special or pretty as MA) she wanted to be Miss America too!

She's ready for bed here. Smiling lovingly at us!
Thank You God for another day with our precious MA.

Jacob's surgery scheduled for September 3rd

Tonight I finished reading the Gospel of John.  Chapters 19,20 and 21. Today my new NKJV 18 point print bible came! I had had another bible that said it was 18 point- but in comparison it is not!!?? It is smaller- 16 point maybe?

Because I have cataracts and can only see out of my left eye, every bit helps! LOL! The new bible is truly a gift from God- AND it had an added benefit that I had not even thought of- white pages! My other large print bibles have all had off white pages! White pages make the new bible reading much easier too! Woo-Hoo!!

I was really excited to start Acts. I was finishing up John in my other bible, but thought- I've read it many times, I'll read it many more times, I'll just skip it for now.

I didn't.

I finished John and I wept hard for a good 10 minutes. Thanking God for helping me see I really needed to read that. My soul was refreshed, LOVED, and Spoken to and taught all at the same time!
All this at 1 a.m. because I couldn't sleep. What a blessing that we are NEVER alone!

And then I checked the photos my precious camera man (Isaiah) left me. And I SMILED so hard my face hurt! LOL!!
These two 12 year olds  bring us so much JOY!
Noah just chillin with "little" (2 weeks younger) Sis!
Noah's sweat shirt is a hand me down from Isaiah! In fact it says Isaiah on it. :o) Isaiah wore this when he was 7 and 8 yrs old.
Noah was 9 when he came home and he wore size 3!!! And here he IS now wearing it! I had not dreamed they'd ever grow into these sizes! Praise God!
I. can. not. stop. smiling!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Above Noah says "You know I'm crazy about you? right Kitty?"
(I still can't stop smiling!!)

Even this picture can NOT steal my smile! Wonder Woman did not want her picture taken. Even with Lysa's very LOVING and caring encouragement. Mercy's left hand is ready to push Lysa's hand off.

But y'know that's o.k. As much as I would LOVE to get more pictures like the one on my right side bar, it's just not who she is. And we LOVE her dearly picture or no picture!

Thank You ALL so much for your prayers for Jacob. He accidentally slid down 4 steps yesterday- he did not hit his head!! Phew! Crazy boy thought he could scoot down them. We were walking through the gate not seeing what his intention was. Normally the gate is shut!! When I heard it I thought it was Pauly- our fast and furious step scooter! LOL!
Jakie has angels watching over him, because we are a comedy of errors.

We searched the whole world for you!

In 2009 Isaiah was 5. He wanted me to have a baby. I told him I was 52 and it wasn't a possibility. But I said maybe we could adopt. After waiting 1 year for a referral in the United States. We decided to search the WHOLE WORLD!!

We found Isaiah FOUR little brothers across the ocean, half a world away!!

(Pauly is giving his crabby face here! LOL!!)

AND one BIG brother
And Isaiah is the happiest big/little brother in the whole world!

Please! Please pray for our Jacob

Many of you know about the experimental surgery they did on Jacob 4 months before Tom first visited him in 2012.
They had not said a word to Tom that first visit.

We "found" the almost healed 3 inch scar on the base of his skull/neck when I gave him a hair cut. Then I read it in his updated medical for his adoption finalization 8  months after the surgery. (none of the other 4 boys had any changes on their medicals we read prior to finalization, so we did not read Jacob's then) In Country Tom cared for him alone 1 week (with our 17 yr old son Gabriel) not knowing, and we cared for him at home about 3 weeks before figuring it out.

We immediately had a children's neurologist at the University of MN see him. His first MRI was acceptable. The cysts still exist and they don't know why he was operated on.
We knew we needed follow up MRIs but were told no worries unless we saw signs like difficulty swallowing or a decline in his abilities. His abilities were few back then. He could not support his body weight or move. Since then his abilities have increased tremendously!

Today Dad/Tom and Jacob spent the day at the Neurologists at the U of MN again. This time the news was not so good. The protective covering that surrounds the skull was "drilled" through for the surgery. It has not healed and is leaking fluid into his spine.
If he hits his head he could die. If he didn't die he would become an invalid.
He needs surgery to close this opening ASAP!

This is frightening news when you think of all of the gymnastics this boy does daily to "walk". Thank God that he has never hit his head!

Please pray for our precious LOVE Jacob. The JOY he brings our family is huge. We adore him. He has gone from lonely, isolated, frightened and abused, to our loving son, brother.

There was a time he allowed abuse just for the attention he craved. He now realizes that we give him attention not for what he gives us, but for what we can give him.

He is going to be afraid before and after the surgery. He has already been terrified/traumatized by the first surgery.

Please pray he is able to adjust until he can come back home. He will be 70 miles away. Dad will take him, stay with him. We won't be able to be there for him. He adores Isaiah and this will be so hard on both boys. Isaiah has never had a sibling in a health crisis. His heart is worried.

We know only by the Grace of God that Jacob has come this far. God LOVES him more than we do. He will care for Jacob, and He cares for Jacob better than we can. His Will be done.
Please pray for our LOVE!
Thank You! (((HUGS)))
