When time heals wounds

Last year mid March this little/big pumpkin entered our lives.
If I just told you it was hard- I'd be lying.
satan fought a strong fight against it. Isn't he silly? Doesn't he know God already won?
This top picture was a frightened little 5 yr old who wanted to go "home". But she had no home.
We wanted to be that home. We wanted to be her family. Some days we thought that might be impossible.
She was about 46 pounds. Quite thin.
She was emotionally fragile, she was broken.

And now, she's 53 pounds and 6 years old. It's almost 1 year later. Miss Mercy has grown and blossomed. She has taught us things we never knew we needed to know and she has helped us stretch and grow as parents. We are a stronger family thanks to her. Amazing!
She adds so much to our lives! We just LOVE her to pieces!

We sent off our 1-1/2 year report to Bulgaria for these three bumpkins! LOOK AT THEM GROW!!
Mosie is in size 3T clothes and 4 sleeper!!
Jacob and Noah are in 5T clothes and size 6!! sleeper!??
They are huge and heavy! LOL!
They are curious! Opinionated! And busy busy busy!

So we had to buy 4 of these gates. I LOVE them!! They self close behind you! Samson hates them- the lift and un-lock makes no sense to him! We use one for the bathroom, one for the steps, one for my room and one for Isaiah's bedroom. So they can "run" through the hallway from Samson/Noah's room to the girl's room.
We can leave them open to my room and Isaiah's room when we are in those rooms. (Isaiah's room is Mosie, Jacob, Julius and Pauly's room too. But there's only room to sleep in there! Isaiah has his stuff all around.)

Jacob and Noah used to share a bed. Until Noah let us know that when Jacob wakes up at night (which is often) he is mean to Noah. So Noah refused to share the bed. Now they each have their own bottom bunk bed. which makes sense, they are the biggest physically. Now Jacob can have a blanket and pillow in his bed. Noah chews up everything he can get his hands on. Even his shirts and jammie sleeves!! No pillows and blankies for Noah. So Jacob is enjoying his very own pillow! And Noah is loving sharing a room with Samson. They are becoming very close! Samson has to hug him and tuck him in and tell him "shh!".

Where does the time go? And who knew how BIG these boys would grow so quickly!!??

Did you know Cupid had a birthday!

Did you know there is a "real" Cupid? Who shoots arrows of LOVE into un-suspecting hearts??

Yup, his name is Mosie!

"No Mosie! Not now- leave your clothes on" He prefers to run around in his Cupid sash and diaper! LOL!

Today Cupid..........I mean Mosie is 9!

 It's Mosie's birthday today!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY big boy!!
We are also celebrating 18 months home!!
He is now 35 pounds and 37" long! He now wears size 3T shirt- size 2T pants size 6 shoe! (previously he wore size 12- 18 months, weighed 15 pounds, wore size 2 shoe)

And has he bonded?
Oh my Mosie is completely bonded to everyone in the family! Strangers are looked at cautiously. Family is always preferred.
Is it any wonder why our hearts are so love sick for this precious boy?

He tries to pretend to be the calm cool guy who is large and in charge!

But who is he kidding? LOL!! He can't fool us! He's just a bundle of LOVE and FUN and JOY!!

We call him "thunder thighs" now.
I know that has an insulting kind of sound to it. But not for Moses. He has the thighs of a football player now. Once his thighs were so thin I was afraid the older kids would accidentally break him. Now he can stand and he wants to walk.....I mean RUN, so bad. He can climb anything if you hang onto his arms. He thinks he has super powers- and we agree!! SUPER MOSIE!!

(pictures are out of order here :o) sorry) This is pre- hair cut (Dec.) when I let all the boys go shaggy over the Holidays because they hate hair cuts. Mosie never had hair before he came home. I LOVE his hair!

Mosie and Kitty play the piano!

This is Mosie's bed. The cover is so he won't tumble out or grab things his siblings leave within his reach- like pencils!!!??? He has an extra thick mattress in the crib that makes him stand higher. He was too tiny to share a bed when he came home, and now he likes this better than a bottom bunk.
(Julius & Pauly share a bunk except at nap. Julius and Pauly are very close coming home together and Julius understands Pauly's autism. Noah and Jacob have their own bottom bunk. They used to share but Jacob has been mean to Noah in the night. So Noah let us know he was NOT sleeping with Jacob any more. We gladly moved him to Samson's room. Noah and Samson are thrilled!)

Moses does not want to be carried! He tries to turn himself around and escape and "run" rather than be carried!! So for Tom to take him to the Dr we bought one of the larger back pack carriers- it holds up to 50 pounds and Mosie faces front behind Tom's back. He accepts that better! LOL! He hates strollers too! Tom can't "walk" him at the Drs! And he'll Houdini himself out of stroller seat belts! LOL!!

Because he's such a good boy we accommodate his requests!!
Someone once suggested that the boys do not talk back?
Watch out! If Mosie is mad at you he slaps his chest firmly with one hand and yells "Eh!" Meaning NO!! :o)

We have new gates!! And I love-love-love them!! One for the bathroom, one for my room, one for the steps.one for the boy's bed room. They run through the hallway between two bedrooms to play in. They can peer over the gates into the forbidden areas.

Often once I shut a gate when I'm going into the bathroom, three boys will be standing on the other side looking like I'm going to let them in with me too! LOL! Of course they go into the bathroom to brush teeth- but not alone! And I prefer to not let them in while I use the bathroom!! LOL!

Moses doesn't believe in hallway rugs- so he throws them! Poor Mercy then trips over them. :o(
"MOSIE!!!!"

He's strong enough to 4 point crawl super fast and pull himself up on everything. Sometimes he crawls with one leg up as if to get up into a stand- soon?! :o)  He gives the gates a good shake- he's so strong! He ripped his bed tent off repeatedly until Tom zip tied it on! LOL!

He now comes to us for diaper changes and things. Noah and Jacob will not "come" if asked ever. But Mosie, Julius & Pauly come when called.
He wants to be big in size so bad. He is big in his mind. He's not babyish like Julius, Pauly and Mercy at age 6. He acts more mature. Understands "good" behavior more. He's quite frustrated that he can't physically do what his brain is ready to do.

But it's coming Cupid my LOVE, I just know it's coming!!

If there's a will there's a way!

Mr Noah 10 yrs old walking with his new gait trainer.

Due to O*b*am*a care changes in our health insurance. PT has not been an option any longer. We have to "choose" a new plan- we are not allowed to keep our current plan that we love. Also we do not qualify for many plans that we can afford due to income and family size. Sorry, don't want to talk politics here- but this really stinks.

Mr Noah looking around as he "walks". :o)

"Hi! Dad! I see you taking pictures!"

Noah does not always remember "how" to "pull" forward with the gait trainer. He likes to walk along walls and furniture on his own and does a great job.
One morning he even crawled out of bed under his bed rail at 5 a.m. and then proceeded to crawl down 2 flights of stairs to find Dad.

But he is afraid to balance and stand on his own. He won't take one step. Which may be his vision.

Yes! Noah! You are so handsome! I've mentioned on here how he hates having his hair cut and he refuses a trim! So his hair grew quite long!

                                                    Pull!! Noah!

" Hmmm... I wonder if I go that way can I reach what's on the counter??"

Two months later Noah fully cooperated and loved getting his hair cut with the electric clippers!! Big boy Noah!!

Noah is the sweetest, most loving, caring boy. We are BLESSED beyond measure having him in our lives!! He's easy going and eager to please. We Thank God that He chose us to be his mamma and pappa!

However, Noah misses his Country. He misses everything he once knew. After 18 months here, this is still new and sometimes overwhelming to him. He also remembers things that haunt him and make him cry. Those times are hard because we have no words to help him. We hug him, but at those times he'd rather be alone in his bed. Which we hate to do. But he seems to need that alone time to heal so he can be with us again. We cry with him. It hurts to see him sad when his personality is JOY not sadness.

I had some problems blogging this past week. I realized downloading go*og*le chrome was the only way I could post! And so I am back! LOL!!
(((HUGS))) and prayers to ALL! We LOVE you!!
