Brothers

Isaiah was once the youngest of our then 15 children. (we planned on 10, I don't know what happened :o)
Isaiah hated being the baby! He wanted to be a big brother.
Out of the 11 children right now in his home, everyone is adopted but him! He was our surprise blessing from God!
When he turned 5 he asked me to have another baby! At age 52, I didn't think it was a very good idea! LOL! After all he and I almost didn't make it during my pregnancy!
So I talked to Dad and we decided the time was perfect to adopt.
Isaiah doesn't notice any difference between sisters and brothers who are adopted or not, so he was thrilled! In fact his birth siblings are so much older to him (31,33 and would have been 36 but she died when Isaiah was 6 months old), he's so much closer to his sibs who happen to be adopted!

Isaiah never notices that his brothers have Down Syndrome. A brother is a brother! And Isaiah was thrilled to get 5 little brothers!

He notices all their likes and dislikes. He notices their fun personalities. He notices that they are his brothers. He notices when they learn new things. He notices their joy and happiness. He loves that they are boys! He thinks boys are great!

Boys who just happen to have DS.
