Paper work submitted towards court

Our paperwork is now awaiting signatures to proceed to court. This can take several weeks. And then we need prayers that we get a good judge who does not ask for additional information!

I'm kind of in a funk right now. The waiting can be so long. It's a little depressing. We committed to these two precious boys in May 2010. Tom saw them in March. People don't dare ask anything about our boys because they can't believe they're still not here!!

I'm also "waiting" for our last 3 boys; to go foreward, we have started their Dossier, but we still need a homestudy and thousands of dollars. Some days it's too overwhelming to even think about. The day before Mothers Day another child in this country who had a family coming to get him died. It is a reality that one of our last 3 boys could die before we get to them. Sometimes that thought is overwhelming. In April some of us were able to send money for food to their orphanage; for all of the children there, not just our three boys. But we can't send love.

Please pray! Pray that the boys are well cared for. Pray that we find the money for airfare. It has doubled since Tom went in March. Next trip Tom needs to bring a helper. That's $1,600.00 or more for each of them plus airfare to come home for 2 boys. The price of gas going up was not in our budget.

  1. Praying dear friend. I stand in faith and CAN'T WAIT to see how God works out bringing your boys home!

  2. Elizabeth, I'll be praying. This must be so hard ... wanting to take care of your boys, feeding them, loving them, providing for them, and yet having to depend on someone else to do it for now. Something that kept me going while we waited on our last baby (domestic adoption) was a friend's adoption story. Her details are private but knowing that God was moving in her life and He would surely move to bring about our next baby kept me going. I hope you can draw on the adoption journeys you have already gone through as well as those of friends. God is working out your details. Have courage, dear friend. (((Hugs)))
Praying for your five sweet boys to get home soon.

  3. Yes, have courage, friend! I know it is very hard to wait sooooooo long! But God WILL provide!

  4. Thanks for steering me to the right blog.

I am praying Elizabeth. I know that it is hard to remember when things seem to move so slow but God's timing is always perfect. He does have a plan in all of this.

I love comments :o) so please be kind! (((HUG)))
